You should be looking for words used in less than 50,000 sites, but if you can find words that are used in less than 20,000 sites, you will have struck gold.

You should narrow your search down to 10 keyword phrases, which should then be used to create articles with said words used in the title and body of your content. This should allow those articles to appear in Google searches, especially if you take the time to submit them to multiple article directories.
